"RSA Design Directions Project. Happy childhood memories of holidays by the water prompted me to think about the future for tomorrow's children. Climate change may cause flooding and devastation, and I have focused on the concept of the ticking clock that acts as a warning that our time for finding solutions is running out. I began by creating embroidered textile illustrations and then applied them to ceramic cups and saucers. The inside of the cup contains the clock motif while the outside is suggestive of a happier and more innocent past combined with a future were children play amongst flooded buildings."

I was awarded the RSA Design Directions 2007 Wally Olins Opportunity Award for this project. To see the official RSA awards page click here.
